Air Ambulance’s Grounded
It is reported that over 50% of the UK’s air ambulance fleet have today been grounded following a new safety fear. Bond Air Services, the main operator of the UK’s air ambulance fleet have withdrawn all of their Eurocopter EC 135 helicopters following concerns about possible cracks in the rotor hub, it has been announced today. This model is used across a number of counties and we welcome contingency plans being announced as quickly as possible, especially in areas such as the North West which covers the Lake District National Park.
